2. "STEEL AND CLOTH" TECHNIQUE

With proper timing and step-by-step application, "steel and cloth" is a technique that is used to calm, center and sooth a dog. It can also be used to socialize a dog to hugging, snuggling and petting behaviors that occur on the lap.

Do not attempt "steel and cloth" without first receiving instruction during session. The dog should not feel forced into position and the technique should not be used as a restraint.
